 Reps, please read....

CSSDA October 18, 2017
As of this report there are 33 clubs statewide enrolled in the program with over 1450 dancers.  Very few clubs as of 10-18-17 have submitted a class roster to cover their fall students. That form can be emailed as there is no premium due.
Some of our state officers, and council officers do not belong to a club that is insured by USDA.  Those officers are covered under the CSSDA policy with USDA.
All policies expire as of Midnight December 31st.  If the renewal has not been submitted by then there is a lapse in the coverage.
.All forms and instructions have been updated for 2018 and posted on the website. I have provided more detailed instructions as well.
This year, club leaders will have two options for their enrollment process:
1. The same as before where you mail three copies of all the forms along with the check to me.
2.   Where you email the forms you have filled out, I review them, and I make the copies and send them to Nationals with your payment.  The only thing the club mails to me is the premium payment by snail mail.

There were two accident forms received this year, neither resulted in a claim or any action by USDA
Again, it is very important that all the leaders of your council clubs receive the information that is published on the website.
Please help get the word passed in a timely manner.

2018 Festival Report
Char and Vern will not be attending the meeting.  Please let us know if you need further information.   The committee is busy working on the 2018 Festival and there are no problems to report at this date.
Please note the new committee to help with promotion of the 2018 festival, we would love for every club in the state to host a 2018 State Festival Promotion dance to help get more registrations.
Article not picked up....
This is the follow-up article I submitted through the Denver Post main news editorial process after the Proclamation dance. Hopes were the readers wanted more square dance news after we got a great response from an article they printed pre-event.
Anyhow, criteria was that it not be previously published anywhere else. Since they didn't pick it up, I am putting it out here for Reps to use/borrow if they would like to do anything with it.  -molly
